KONNICHIWA
OWNERS & CABBITS!
We hope you
will enjoy this Paw Prints: The Cabbit Netzine! This is for people who
are in the adopt-a-cabbit program, are thinking of joining, or are just
plainly cabbit lovers! For people who do not know me, my name is Kibby,
and I maintain the site, and the adopt-a-cabbit program. =^.^= My friend,
Lesell Charis (AKA, Lesell-Oh-Ki), helps me with the site and program
too.
If you have
any questions, please contact us at: cabbit@animecafe.net
ADOPTING
A CABBIT
FOR OWNERS:
For people
who don't know what to say in their very first e-mail, here's a tip: be
yourself. Describe yourself to your cabbit, explain what you like and
dislike, your hobbies, and interests. After all, the cabbit program is
about having fun and making friends. =^.^=
Don't feel
sad if a cabbit doesn't respond accepting you as an owner. It just means,
they have already been asked, or they don't have things in common with
you. If this happens, don't despair -- try again! There are plenty of
kawaii cabbits out there, all of them different, and you can only find
the right one, if you try. Eventually, we are sure you are bound to find
a special cabbit all your own.
FOR CABBITS:
If you know
someone who likes cabbits, likes Tenchi Muyo or is just into role-playing
conversations, try to talk them into adopting you! Also, as a side note,
do not always pick your friends to adopt you. The whole point of the program
is to make new ones! You can get picked by friends if you wish, but it's
all the more rewarding if you come out of the program with a new friend,
isn't it?
After you
try all this, there is one last thing: be patient. You will get adopted
in time, we are sure of it.
KEEPING
IN TOUCH
I'm sure
this is the most frequently asked question: "OK, I have my cabbit/owner
now, what are we supposed to do?"
For owners,
try to maintain frequent contact with your cabbit. The first thing that
can be suggested, is to say "Hello" to your cabbit in an e-mail,
and make sure to give your cabbit a carrot or two. >^.^<
And the what?
Well it's
up to you. Try to make good friends with your cabbit, or they could leave
you and pick someone else! >;.;< You can offer help to your cabbit,
such as prereading stories, etc., as well as acting like a "big brother
or sister" to your cabbit. Ask about them, ask about what they like,
get to know them. You can talk about your hobbies and your interests to
them, like Tenchi Muyo or Anime. Our cabbits are special! They can talk
back! =^.^= After you get to know them, everything will be much easier.
Help them with problems, keep them out of trouble. Who knows? Maybe they
can help you if you have problems, too. Maybe you will discover a new
hobby! Your new cabbit is not just any old normal web adoption, you must
pay attention to them! Like a real adoption, they need time and to be
taken care of. Be sure to keep your cabbit happy! Feed them a lots of
carrots, and carrot cake!! =^.~=
You should
keep in touch with your cabbit at LEAST once a week. More is encouraged.
The more the better, it means you have a very good relationship with your
cabbit. The easiest way to contact your cabbit is though e-mail. We emphasis
on writing to each other, because we want this to be as fun as possible
for both, and frequent correspondence will make the program more fun for
you and your cabbit.
Another,
more fun way to contact your cabbit is through ICQ (www.icq.com)
or IRC (www.mirc.com).
Chatting is very fun and easy way to get to know your cabbit. This is
because chatting is fast and in real time. It is like actually having
a conversation in real life!
HELPING
THIS SITE
Usually,
when founding a program anything can go wrong due to minimal experiences.
I'm sure everybody agrees on that one. ^.~ If you have any suggestions,
give us a shout! ^.^ YATTA!
Lesell: Not
so loud! =^.^=
Kibby: Oopsie!
=^o^=
If you have
any recommended Tenchi sites, please let us know! Thanks! (This is, beside
TM Fanfic Archive, Ryoko Forever Fan Club, and Aeka Fan Club... we have
those already of course. ^^) If you know a resourceful, Tenchi Muyo site,
I'm sure they'll be included in Tenchi Resources page!
